This photo is one of my favorite. I awoke early in the morning to go to the Uinta Mountains to the Upper Provo River waterfalls. This is not the actual waterfalls, but it is near them. This photo is a perfect example of being prepared for what is there, but not what you were looking for. I had gone to take photos of the river and the main falls. After taking a few pictures there we started to hike above the falls. The trail was not very well defined, but the walking was easy. After a few hundred yards this was what appeared.

I like the forest surrounding the river. It gives the river a sense of starting at the edge of the forest.
