Spring Bird

The last few days have been cold, rainy, windy, and snowy. So.... today I wanted to get out and shoot some photos. I had the perfect opportunity to do so. My wife and Mother-in-Law are attending a conference on Womanhood, and I am babysitting the kids. I had about an hour inbetween taking and picking up the kids from afterschool activities. So I took my 70-200mm lens with 1.7 teleconverter and drove along the Airport dike. My hope was to find some of the beautiful spring birds. The problem was it was so windy the birds were all hunkered down. That is until I was about to leave. I found this little yellow breasted beauty. The only problem I had with this photo was while driving along the pot hole filled dike the back and forth rocking of the car with the camera sitting on my lap reset my exposure. I had taken this photo 3 stops underexposed.
Thanks for visiting today.
