The last few days I have spent editing photos for my daughter and her wedding. Today at about 4 we finally finished the last edit for her wedding announcements. For the past two weeks I have also spent countless hours taking photos, editing them, and producing a getting to know you book for our local church leader. Both of these have been a ton of fun. I have learned many new techniques on both photoshop and Indesign. Needless to say I have not had the time to get out and shoot. Today our flowering plumb tree is in full bloom. This is a handheld shot with a slight breeze blowing.

1/125 sec

To take this type of shot hand held don’t be afraid to crank up the iso. I could have gone higher, but for my needs this was sufficient. On today’s cameras you need to go much higher then iso 400 to run into noise issues. Also don’t be afraid to put the camera on continuos shooting mode and shoot away.
