St George Temple

On our first night in St George we decided to go down to the St George Temple. This building was built by hand by the early Pioneers. It’s white exterior is a beautiful contrast to the red rock sandstone cliffs that surround the valley.
This photo was taken with a tripod and a 20 second exposure at is 200 and f/22. I have this in the HDR Man made section of this web site, but this photo is a single exposure.
I like the detail the pioneers were able to build in the exterior of the building.
I like the white surrounded by the black sky.
I like the palm trees. It reminds me of warmer times.
